Fotokasten for the Iphone meets my Priest.

I was bored on the train,  and playing with a  iphone App  called Fotokasten  – which looks like it is German?  and seems to be like a promotional app extension of their store ( which I can not read) .  It was free,  and looked interesting – with capabilities much like those graphic design programs that put your design on things like walls, or bus stop displays to showcase your work.

Having discovered that my Iphone has been syncing one of my Image folders on my computer  ( no not the ones with all the naughty pics.. ) I found that I had some Model Viewer Images I had saved of my Character

So I went to town and made some money

A Mug for my coffee.   ( I want a real one!)

Some Artwork  – Would you go to a gallery to see my avatar?

and My Favourite, a Jigsaw puzzle

I think it’s clever.   The App it’s self requires a net connection, as I think it does all the rendering off your phone, and on their mother site,  but you can save your finished product in your iphone gallery.  And yes you can use real pictures…

What have we got to do to get a look in the naughty pics folders? I am thinking Night Elves frolicking in those pools in Darnassus – I will write in a complaint if its Mingle’s dwarf in the “beards of Ironforge” calendar

Actually, “fotokasten” means photo-box, picture-box, something along that direction. It’s a (cardboard) box in which you keep your photographs and also (probably outdated) vernacular for “camera”.

You can upload your pictures and design your own mugs, calendars, accessories and whatnot. The prices seem moderate. You get that kind of stuff in copy shops all over Germany, just bring your USB stick and they print it for you. I doubt that fotokasten.de would gladly ship to Australia, but they probably speak English, in case you want to ask. ;)
