I’m sooooo excited…….. I just can’t hiiiiiiddddddd it..

Cosi was a play I studied  did in school – they made a movie about it around the same time with Toni Collett – and the following clip  – the song ” I’m so excited ” sung so slowely and droll was an audition song sung in the play

“I’m soooooo exciiiiiittted..   I  juuust can’t hiiiiiiiide” here

It’s kinda how I feel about mists. I say the words, “I’m so excited”  but there is no real feeling in it.

Yet.

I missed the excitement of the BC expansion because I had only been playing Wow for a month when it came out, so I am probably more of a BC baby, but I have been through the excitement of Wrath, and Cata, and I am getting a little weary. I still love the game, still playing, but it’s like a broken record,  the same people who get excited seem to be the first to moan  how easy/how boring it is / leave the game.

I don’t mind some spoilers, and I read what’s happening and occasionally I’ll go – Hey.. Stampede for hunters sounds really cool. I can’t wait to try it.

And I wonder if I am more tired of the people then I am of the game.

Stupid stuff like needing on greens, people wiping raids deliberately by pulling bosses, starting fights before raid is complete/everyone is there.  Aspect of the pack on spine, or Hagara, and then afkers in bg’s   I know Blizzard seem to be trying to make playing with pugs as asshat proof as possible with their new loot rules, and have improved things like reporting over the years  but it also feels like we are getting wrapped in more and more bubble wrap. One person should not have the power to ruin 24 other,  9 other 4 other peoples fun and I guess bubblewrap is one way of going about it.

I signed up for 12 month subscription thing so I will get the Beta eventually,  but I am of two minds to use it.  I would question my motivations,  do I really want to help them find bugs, or do I want to see some of the new stuff before most other people. I’m also not too keen on having the new stuff ruined for me, and while I would like to see the new panda zone – and be a monk, before a million other people on go live also do the same, I suspect the starting zones on test realms would much the same experience.

and while I may be a little quite,  I am still here, not going anywhere.

How to get that #1 dps spot in LFR – Boss by Boss.

Yes another LFR  post

Why would I join a raiding guild ( and actually raid in said raiding guild ) when I can do LFR on 4 toons a week and have endless excitement.

So some general advice

Don’t forget to food and flask, make sure you have all the buffs you can get.  Ask the locks to give you their haste buff, or rogues to give you tricks, don’t be afraid to ask, and ask often.  Being demanding may encourage them to give it to you to shut you up.

No clicking on Lightwells,  and grouping to stand on the healers AOE, why should you move or make any effort to keep yourself alive it’s your job to dps and carry the rest of the scrub add killing guild members raid members.  Your Uber dps is what wins all the fights.

If you do die don’t forget that you are important, even if  you managed to pull agro before the tank could. Tell them to Battle rez you.  Tell them again and again, until you get one.  If you die on Deathwing  because you ‘fell’ demand a healer comes back to get you.

Don’t forget to link your Recount after every boss to reinforce in everyone’s mind how awesome you are.

Now for the Boss fights

Boss 1 Morchock  (Aka Moar Rock  – he is a big rock)

Ignore the resonating crystal  – if you get targeted, even if your line is red. Do not move. It’s only LFR and the healers can heal you through it.

After he casts You have about 2-3 global cool downs before the blood of the earth ( that black stuff )  chases after you. Don’t run to the spines as quickly as possible,  if you get hit there will be a healer in range to heal you up.

Boss 2 Warlord Zon’ozz ( elephant on Steroids)

Pick a spot and don’t move.  Don’t group up so that it makes it easier for the healers to heal or dispel you.  They won’t let you die anyway.

Boss 3 Yor’shaj the Unsleeping ( the ooze dude)

Pick a spot and don’t move, don’t chase after blobs.  Make sure you AOE when the multiple adds come,  and do not kill the Mana ball

Boss 4 Hagara the Unbinding ( lightening emo chick) /swagger

Stand in anything you feel like, frost circles, whirlwinds, lots of Aoeing opportunities on the trash never mind about agro, the tanks have you covered.   Your still going to need to watch out for the spines  or you will die,  and dead dps does no dps.  If you’re a pet class be careful of the spines, and of the lightening phase you may lose your pet – and lose dps..

Boss 5 Ultraxion ( Big dragon staring contest)

Don’t click that purple swirly thing,  the healers will just heal you up,  and no one will remember when you miss it every single time.  You don’t have to do much besides stand there and dps and use your cool downs.

Boss 6 Warmaster Blackhorn ( I’m on a boat.. again.. )

Range is supposed to target the drakes – don’t.  That will involve changing targets. So just focus on the two dude in the center.  When a large purple swirling thing hits the deck, ignore it, you don’t need to move.  You still will need to pay attention to the dark purple circles. Don’t stand in them,  if you do it can be difficult for a healer to heal you through it.

Boss 7 Spine of Deathwing ( I’m on the back of a big mutha of a dragon ripping it’s armour off ( hey its kinda cool )

It doesn’t matter if you kill more stuff  then your supposed to,  dps freely. Just close your ears to the “STOP DPS YOU NOOBS,”STOP ” “OMG Stop!!!” if its red shoot it, and since more tendrils killed means more corrupted blood to dps.  If there is nothing up to kill dps the Amalgamation (s) as you feel like.

Boss 8 – Deathwing ( BIGGEST scary dragon and the dude that this whole expansion is supposed to be about )

Don’t swap to the corrupted tentacle, or the bolt when it spawns.  Stay on the Wing for as long as possible, until the tank screams at you ” SWAP” If your melee and you hide behind the back you might be able to escape detection. Aoe where possible.  Don’t single target anything, the healers can heal through everything.  When you reach the last phase ignore all sets of adds, just focus on deathwing.

I can’t heal that sh*t

3 groups in 1 hour.  I  know it was an hour because I paid gold for  a spirit flask.

It seems if you die often enough when you leave group you do not get the deserter debuff.  I tortured myself and kept requeing.

Fooded, flasked, gemmed, chanted  as much to perfection and pride as possible.

It was all my fault.

Do you know how much of a blow to the self esteem it is to fail.  Anyone that cares about doing well no matter what it is  knows the cuts  to the ego the feeling of failing something your trying your damndest to do well at.

It was not only my bones littering several instance floors, but pieces f my pride.

I’m linking recount metres  to a friend,  damage taken,  what damage was taken – thinking I can’t heal that sh*t

I forgot damage done.  3 dps pulling 3k dps on Helix Gearbreaker in Deadmines.  We armoried one  – Pvp gear equipped

Oh.. maybe that one wasn’t my fault.

Nor was the 7 min Baron Asbury attempt in Heroic deadmines

and so on…

One group wanted me to MC and heal at the same time.  ( it is possible in Vortex Pinnacle on the  Temple Adepts,   but not in Halls on the first pull) I was the “BADDIE HEALER HAHAHAHAH” I should have told them to  go jump,  3 of them left anyway after the wipe.   It was just me  the healer, and a dps left, and I left, and took the debuff.

I got kicked from a group  in Grim Batol because I couldn’t heal their failures, even after I predicted that they would fail and prehealed, shielded and levitated them after they were thrown in the air.  ( should have life gripped)

I worked out the difference between the pug groups that fail, and the ones I run with friends, or even a deadmines tonight with guild ( post nerf)

It’s dps.

I can heal your mistakes,  as long as you don’t get too much time to stand in rockfalls, or green puddles.

If you’re pulling 3k dps   its going to take longer to kill things, more damage taken, harder to heal  – and the people I run with don’t do 3k dps

I did a Deadmines post nerf healing as disc tonight, and 3 guildy dps. The first wipe was in the nightmare because no one listened to me about jumping over the side straight away, and they were either too slow, or landed in the fire. While I was full health agroing the boss..  “HELLO… can I get a tank over here please?”  Our pug tank was good.  It helped alot,  but yeah we had a few more singular deaths in various places eg ” stop eating the bad food…” Or me on vent was ”  Blah..  your standing in bad shit..  move.. ”   but overall I felt rather confident.  Because it was nerfed they didn’t use CC. We had a hunter, mage, and Shadow priest as dps.   We had options. They cut out enough of the bad stuff and the trash packs so it was quicker and easier, I didn’t really need CC to help  my healing load.    Just  more a few more pauses to regain mana  for the times I had to ” Flash Flash Flash”

As much as I believe that Heroics are really  a slap in the face for the dps that don’t want to be team players,  don’t have a clue, I think they overnerfed it, Make things hit for less, rather than take them out,  it looks like they just removed the mobs that caused the most deaths.

This mob was responsible for *blah* deaths.

Sentence: Banished from deadmines for overzealous killing of players
