1153 shadow Damage.

I spent 30 of my Badges on 2 Nether Vortexes – and had The Belt of Blasting Made.  Im now on 1153 Shadow Damage – and Ive double checked no +damge buffs so Im crawling there inch by Inch.

I have a Tier 4 Headpeice sitting in bank that needs to be meta gemmed – but I need 2 more spirit shards to buy the +12 Spell Damage and run increase gem.  ( Yes some leets may say thats a crappy gem – but my current gem makeup won’t let me ‘use’ anything else without some gear changes.. and Im am so not going there for one gem)  When I equip that i should be at least another +5 spell damage which isnt alot, but its not a PVP Helm which Im currently wearing – evenmy current one has 2 +12 spell damage gems  and a 22 spell power enchant ontop of its +32 – Its a good + spell damage mix – but its PVP

That peice of T4 came from a Kara clear last night,  my group cleared it,  the 2nd team gave up at Aran due to silliness – so 22 badges and a peice of T4. Not a bad run.  They don’t do WWS for 10mans, and people arent ‘rude’ enough to publish damage metres unless one of the officers ask, but I asked an officer How I went and he said I was 3rd on DPS, behind a t4/5 Rouge and Mage. He said it was ‘way good’  I used less Vampiric embrace because we had good healers, and VT only on bosses that we werent dpsing down fast, and it seemed to have worked.     Used Shadow-word death alot more,  and trusted the healers not to let me die when I was hitting myself for 3k damage

I feel a bit bettter and am sort of waiting to see what drama ensures over something else,  and my real life scedule is about to hit extreme business so I’m happy to cruise with the status quo for now.

Keep in mind that VT will also add another application of shadow weaving to your target, aswell as mana return and dmg output. I wouldn’t be dropping VT for any reason … it should always be up.

But you’ve dropped using VE when you don’t have to and your overall DPS seems to be picking up from it, GOGO ZAH!

    Sounds pretty awesome, indeed!

Do you use anything other than the +9 Spell Damage gems in your raiding gear? I’m jsut curious, the shadowpriest forum site seems to assume yuo only ever use those, and I do wonder about the whole meta gem issue.

Believe it or not.. i actually only have 1 red gem slot and thats on my PVP healm… the rest are all yellow and blue This would change if the Trial Fire Pants from 0pera would drop for me. It has 3 red gems slots and would let me use an awesome Spell damage meta.. but alas.. the one time ive seen them drop, I passed as I already had a good Plum that run, and the other person hadn’t…
