So Im Standing in Iron forge.. on a mount, bored, esasperated, and reading guild forums
/s “Can I plz have money?” A Level 10 Dwarf asks
I /lol
/s”Plz” “I need”
/s “Does your GM know that your begging in Iron Forge?” I ask
/s”Huh?” “Plz I need”
/s “Does your Guild Master know that you are ruining what good reputation your guild has?”
/s”Sorry?”
/s “Does he know that you are disrespecting your guilds name by begging for gold”
“i didn’t know….”
I ride off into the sunset.
My favorite response to beggers is “Sure I’ll give you gold! But sorry I left it on monsters and daily quest NPCs. Can you get it for me? /ignore”
I try not to indulge in troll like social behaviour by responding to beggers.. just sometimes.. I can’t help it, I agree /ignore is much simpler. unless they have a million alts and then proceed to spam you with tells
I just ignore them now. Even the energy to try and teach them a lesson is too much these days. For what ever reason these players are always there. If they persist and really get irritating I’l yell at them so everyone can know they are begging.
Say ‘Sure, have some gold’
Open trade window, put 50g up but don’t hit trade.
Go get a sandwich. Something nice.
Lol when you find them still there with the trade window open.
