How to: Get a free hearth home.

Invite a Friend/Guildy to a group.

Convert Group to Raid.

Go into an Instance ( Stockades is good for this)

Leave group

Wait for “You are not in this group’s instance, you will be teleported.. “

and Gone..   Free trip home.

Who needs mages? eh….

Disclaimer1: I am not responsible for any mobs you may incounter on the steps in Stockades.

Disclaimer2: I am not the original discoverer of this trick – I heard it from a Bob who heard it from jack who heard it from bill, and before that…..  But once apon a time I was Bob er.. um..  – Noob , who didn’t know and maybe some of you don’t either

Disclaimer3: I am not really a Bob

EDIT:  I most cases you don’t seem to even need the convert to raid part for it to work..  so  Hearth for free away..   Sorry Mages..

we call it “ghetto hearthing” 🙂

Course some of us are mages and don’t have this issue 😛

Just Typical… WoLK on the Horizon, and everyone gets a Port Spell 😉

No Reasons to bring Mages to Stormwind at all anymore… QQ!!

    Better:
    Get invited to group
    Enter instance
    Leave party

No need for the raid group.
Doing this as party leader can result in it not working and you just getting stuck in the instance :(, then you need a new group.

Its why SW > IF, and why SSO is so accessible(well kindof useless really since there is a gem and item vendor in shattrath).

And as obvious as it might seem…

Don’t try this on a heroic instance. LOL!

Yep, Ghetto hearthing is a popular thing in Org as well for us Hordies, with RFC right in the middle of the city.

Just a note: This doesn’t really give you a free hearth, if you do it when your hearth is available, it will count as using it.

If you use it when your hearth is on cooldown, it will reset the timer back to 60 minutes.

    Still, it’s extremely handy! 🙂

What Zupa & 2ndNin said, respectively. We call it “ghetto hearthing,” also, and there’s no need for a raid, just go into an instance in a group and then drop. Voila!! 😀

Depending on what instance though.. but yeah for the sw u do only need group. Sometimes its a Raid only instance eg – I’ve used sunwell for that when I got ‘stuck’ on the isle..

Even on the isle you can use Magisters Terrace instead of Sunwell Plateau.

I call it a Ghetto Hearth as well. Invite random guildy. Promote them to leader, go to stocks and leave group. Simple as that.
