With the release of the news that Sam Raimi was going to Direct a Warcraft movie ( and it now has its own IMDb page here . ) I thought I would finish my 2 part series that I started last year when the idea was first released in November. Looking over the people I picked, I think I am going to have serious age issues with some of the actors, but these are just some ideas, or at the very least makeup and costume tips 🙂 I had some severe problems with Tauren females, and Orcs – of all the females of the races, in RL / conventional times to say that you looked like a female tauren, or a orc could be a massive insult to an actress, They would need to wear a heck of alot of make up though so I went for the height of where a Tauren would be, and physic of an Orc, and both actresses are still attractive!
The reality is they would have multiple people playing the various races, but I am so hoping that they have a Shadow Priest with Shadow Form special Effects, don’t care what faction or race, cause it would just be tooo cool!
Part one can be found here
“If I were casting the Warcraft Movie – Alliance part1 ” – I’ve done some revisons…
and here is the horde.
Undead
Male:Scorpius ( Wayne Pygram )
Female: Helena Bonham Carter
Tauren
Male: Forester Whitaker ( seen in his role in Battlefield Earth)
Female: Kirsten Johnston ( from 3rd rock from the sun)
Bloodelf
Male: Alexander Skarsgård ( from True Blood)
Female:
Kira Knightly – that outfit looks like a hunters harness..
Troll:
Male: (Seth Green) – Change his hair Colour, make it longer/ Give him some tusks – I think he has the laid back spirit that trolls seem to have.
Female
Lily Allen –
Orc
Male – Eric Bana (Shown in The Hulk)
Female
Jessica Biel ( Pic from Blade – she would need to be made a little more green or yellowish )
I’d like to see Danny Devito in there somewhere (although for some reason he makes me thing more of Goblins than dwarves), or perhaps Warwick Davis (he played the lead in Willow, so many years ago). And Bruce Campbell usually has a cameo in anything Sam Raimi directs – it may just be the fanboy in me, but I’d love to see Ash passing through Azeroth in search of deadites.
(And I definitely agree about Seth Green’s laid back attitude.)
Brilliant!
Simply brilliant 🙂
I don’t think looking like a female orc would be an insult, they are pretty buff!
Really good choices, they all look like they could fit into the image of the roll. The only one I think that could actually pull it off… Seth Green!
Oh. My. Snaps!
Helena Bonham Carter is pefect for a forsaken little lady. I’ve never thought about her fo such a role, but I would absolutely love to see her play that race. I imagine she really could pull off the looks and moves.
Not sure if the Forsaken will be in the movie ,Since they are not aligned with the horde yet in the movie period. It was stated in an interview with on of the WoW devs.Maybe Sylvanas
Sorry ,and also Great job!!
LOL i do play wow sadly and i agree with you, but why lilly allen for female troll?
@Ashley
The hair… 🙂 No, not just that, The troll female was hard to pick ( and I by no way meant it as an insult) They don’t have to be as tough as Orcs, or as soft as humans, and they seem a little generic and underplayed in wow, running around quite awkwardly as if uncomfortable in the world they are in, this may seem a little too deep – but at the time she was copping a lot ( and still) negative media about her approach to music, but she still seems to have the spunk that will make her persevere, and I guess I see the troll as needing that spunk.
Ok, fair enough. I do like lilly allen, she is very talented. I think all the characetrs you picked are funny, i just didn’t get why you picked lilly allen for the troll. Now i do, the hair. You did a great job, (like i said) i didn’t understand thats all. I know you didn’t mean to insult her.
