Hidden Places.

I’ve always wanted to visit the mysterious little village that you see  when flying from Menethil Harbour to Ironforge,  One time I spent a good half hour avoiding Murlocs trying to find my way up the hills to get to it,  I didn’t need it for a quest, but I was curious,  I wanted.  No, Needed to know what was up there.  I could see the tips of roofs and  I would eagerly try and absorb as much of the details of this mysterious place each time I flew over it, but eventually it just became a place I never thought I would get to see and click things in.

Yggdasil took myself  and TheEighteenthwarlock  and some other guildys for a exploration trip.

I found the house I would live in if I ever were to role play.  Its not much,  there is moss growing over  the door but I think with a bit of a clean up it would come about all right,  (  I changed my mount to a Ram because I was among the Dwarvern people, and when in the Hills…   and shadow Form is terrible for screen shots..

I had also heard stories of a secret airstrip and places that were unexplored by the general populace.   There were no sign posts that it was forbidden,  but the paths to get there for well hidden.

It was one of those long moments of extreme content for me while playing wow.  Killing Yogg,  or my first Epic had nothing on what I was getting out of this moment,   the realisation of a gamelong  ( almost) desire, and I wasn’t disapointed.  Have you ever fulfilled a Wow dream?  Cause I have.

I love visiting long forgotten places of WoW, and look around at the world they built. So much detail, I just get a sense of awe. Blizzard’s commitment to building a world, even down to the painting, and books in the Scarlet Monastery.

This is why I play the game, and sometimes I take jaunts to discover places I havent been to before.

Huzzah! Grats on getting the grand tour. I’ve been to old ZG but not ever made it up to the IF airport. Someday!

Don’t tell me you forgot to visit the top of Ironforge while you were at the strip 🙂

Thanks for reminding me of those places. I remember spending hours on foot to have my guildmaster find me at feathermoon to say “Tarana” how did you get here at 20 something. “Follow me through the horde town to get to 1000 needles”. He almost choked on his chicken wing when he logged on to see his level 20 guildies standing in front of him.

Though your trek sounds cool and interesting… would be nice to know how you got there. Maybe some screenshots and such. Maps, path descriptions. Add those things, and this article would be perfect!

No the airstrip was claimed by me and all access will be granted on a sliding fee scale according to toon lvl or anyone giving me the battered hilt of course will gain unlimited access. go to loch m and head west/north next to a tunnel entrance i think on the north side “jump” up the gully
