I got some spam in my inbox. My 1st response was to delete it, give it the attention it deserves – I mean they have done it for the purpose of attention, and here I am giving them exactly that.
However the owner of the imposter site has me on their blogroll. You can’t pick who has you on their blog roll, but I take offense to the Fake Gevlon having me on their list.
I’m amazed at the effort – and the hate behind the production of such a site – it makes a mockery of why I love blogging – the ability to communicate my opinion, and my own ideas freely. YOU choose to read them. I have no influence over the decisions that you face while living your life. What I say is not that important. It will not start or end wars, it will not feed or stave people – I write and you read for entertainment.
If you don’t agree with Gevlon / Can’t look at what he writes as a perspective / even be entertained – then choose to not read it.
That someone would do this – speaks volumes of their own values – all the while they criticise Gevlon’s values.
If a person cannot counter bad ideas with good ideas, they probably shouldn’t be in a world of ideas.
The imposter simply want attention. He cannot gain it the way you or me getting it (by posting ideas), he getting it by posting mockery. He is a troll in its purest form: being happy to get emotional reaction from readers. Don’t worry about him, just ignore him.
I just delete every single comment he makes on my blog. As simple as that. He’s non existent. It’s a bit annoying having to do an extra check on whatever comment that comes from “Gevlon” to see if it’s the real or the fake. But I do it since I don’t want to give him any more space than he’s managed to get already.
Its a bit strange altho kudos to Gevlon for having a stalker/impersonator, hes like a rock star now 😉
In all seriousness best thing to do is just ignore him/her
Wow. Just wow. The fact that someone has that much time to waste is impressive.
I don’t get it, it’s not funny, it’s not useful, it doesn’t accomplish anything.
I like Gevlon’s blog – although not as much as I used to.
This person has a right to express himself – as crude as it is. You know with a personality like Gevlon that such a response was coming – especially since such opinions can’t be expressed in Gevlon’s comment section because they get deleted.
