Transfer Trash.

Been there.  Got the Tshirt.

I was listening to Trade chat last night,  and a debate ensured about the right of the transfer trash to make comments about the realm.  Lots of GTFO the server you “transfer trash” occurred  – and of course then came the ”  I’ve been on the server since….  ”

I became a Alliance on Dath because my priest was just so much easier to level  – people wanted me! ( untill I wanted to play Shadow)  – and Dath was my home for a long time – I had talked about leaving – but it was all I really knew so I stayed.   Enough people I knew left the server and I followed them to a ‘better progressed’ server  – the land of GDKP milk and Honey, and where I am so much more of a little fish in a sea of raid geared up & skilled up people.

I am transfer trash.

When arriving on a new server – full pimped out in purps I would not recommend

1)  Posting in trade ” Elem Shammy – New transfer  LF High end raiding guild. Pst.

This will result in a trade wide attack of the difference between the founding members  of the server,  and the bad’s or people who transfer for the glory of being on an awesome(r) server.

2)  Posting in realm forums  LF for Raiding Guild – may result in a replys such as this “stay on your crappy server. we are full and don’t want your badnes.. you getting the hint yet?”

I did neither –  But yes the server is full.  I had a queue of 300 + on the weekend at one point. I’m pretty sure horde side is locked to transfers at the moment. I like it.  I think the pool of gearing / of raiders / of hardcores are certainly higher than what I am used to – and I do not have it me to be a 6 day a week raider.

The realm suits and sates my needs and desires for what I want out of Wow at the moment.

Still miss organised raiding though.

So yes I am transfer trash – but really  most of the realm is – doesn’t make the people less skilled / geared .  Bads are less likely to leave servers if born there,  so I would like to think that it was the transfer trash that made it a more desired realm.

I so should make my bank alt guild that name…

I’m one of the people who sometimes trolls trade with gtfo br is full, but i’m fairly new (2ish years) so I don’t claim to be a founder. I know a few transfers who say the same in trade.

Also: horde is not locked for transfers, I xferd my belf hunter from Burning Legion to Blackrock about 2 weeks ago. I then made him alliance, but at the time of the xfer he was horde.

I personally don’t mean any harm by it, mostly server traditional joke, and if someone who is going to xfer over looks blackrock up on wowwiki they would see that fact..that and br is full spam on AD.

But in all honestly alliance does need some more people.

I’m on a “full realm” and what I hate about “transfer trash” is not that they’re unskilled or something.

Is that the more people we get, the longer queues are, no one wants to be late half an hour to a raid because he just came back from work and “X is full. Place in queue 400. Estimated time…” and estimated time is always shorter than the real time to enter.

Also Dalaran, Wintergrasp, Argent Tournament Grounds, even old world capital cities and raids suffer from increasing lag. At least there’s less problem with “additional instances can’t be launched” but I still hear from time to time someone couldn’t enter raids due to this barrier.

Yes we have FCM out up all the time now, but it doesn’t change anything, the playerbase flow is always from low pop server / faction to the high one, making imbalance worse and worse.

The “go home” feeling arises when you start being afraid your beloved server might one day break and collapse with the weight of too many players storming it.

We were here first, now you come and want to eat our cookies because your own were stale.

P.S. Playing on EU realms, not US unlike you.

After reading through some of your recent posts, I would bet that the reason you have such rude encounters with ppl on your server is because they think they are so uber just because they have to wait in a queue to play. I was appalled by the way that tank treated you as his healer. It’s like giving a chihuahua a nice steak and as he takes it from you, bites your hand and shakes. Don’t give him anymore steak! Give him a kick out the door!

No tank on our realm would do that and expect to get healers grouping with them again, no matter what kind of gear they have. After all, what good does an epic’ed out tank do for you if he keeps wiping you like a n))b one would? Seriously, kick his ass next time. As a matter of fact, get all the healers on your realm to blacklist playing with him.I know that doesn’t go as far these days with cross-realm randoms, but he deservers to be dropped like trash.

As for realm transfers, I don’t know why ppl think they own a realm just because they started there. You don’t even own your character – Blizz does! That whole crappy attitude you find on such realms is what would make me LEAVE it. But I don’t like putting up with ppl’s crap when I log into relax and play a GAME. I won’t put up with it because I don’t have to – it’s not my job, its not my family, its not a neighbor. I’ll kick you and put you on ignore so I don’t have to waste my evening on you!

I would encourage you to do that more often, too. You might enjoy yourself more, though perhaps there will be less fodder for your blog. 😉
