Do I translate ok?

** I see every now and then a link back that looks like someone translated my post into something other then English to read me  ( Or tried to translate it into English)

I have tried to read some foreign language WOW blogs that have translated into English – I mean why shouldn’t I try? They are bloggers too with ideas and thoughts – even If I can’t understand a word they are saying without the help of Goggle translator. It’s hard- I get the general gist of what they are saying  – but I do feel a lot is being lost in translation. **

I found Bob Turkeys post on a French blogger Priest Information for French Speakers which helped fuel the fires for ideas for this post.

I borrowed a paragraph from the French priest blog he recommends Prêtresse d’Elune ( Priestess of Elune)

Un changement qui n’aura que très peu d’incidence, le buff continuera à être présent sur le raid pendant la majeure partie du combat. Il sera cependant rafraichi un peu moins souvent, et donc encombrera moins votre journal de combat. La raison de ce changement est plutôt d’ordre technique et est expliquée ici par Ghostcrawler : http://blue.mmo-champion.com/28/23329534006-why-so-many-auras-in-ptr-notes.html

becomes

A change that will have very little impact, the buff will continue to be present on the raid for most of the fight. It will however be refreshed a little less often and therefore less clutter your combat log. The reason for this change is rather technical and is explained here by Ghostcrawler: http://blue.mmo-champion.com/28/23329534006-why-so-many-auras-in-ptr-notes.html

It seems to translate ok to me.

I experimented with my first two paragraphs in this post marked by double astrix’s by translating it in Googles translator from English to French,  and then copied the text and translated it back into english  to see if anything could change in it’s meaning and got this

I see from time to time a return link which looks like someone translated my post into something other than English to me to read (or tried to translate it into English)

I tried to read a foreign language blogs WOW who translated into English – I mean why not try? They are bloggers too many ideas and thoughts – even if I can not understand word they say, without using the Goggle translator. It’s hard I get the general sense of what they say – but I do feel much is lost in translation.

Then Finnish ( Since I am moving to Finland if censorship goes bad in Australia – they have good music –  ❤ ! )

I see every now and then a link back that looks like someone translated my post into something other then english to read me (Or tried to translate it into english)

I have tried to read some foreign language WOW blogs that have translated into English – I mean “Why Should not I try? Both the English-French-English and the English- Finnish-English both seem reasonably able to translate my ideas. except the “Bloggers with too many ideas and thoughts”  from “They are bloggers too”

If you do translate me into another language and can understand English or not..  Please comment ( I could translate your comment you tell me what language it is.)  I just want to know if I translate ok?

    Try leaving a message on GoogleVoice for Fim & Nib… That’s a challenge…

I just tried to translate this article in French with Google : it’s understandable, but I definitely prefer to read you in English…

I see those links sometimes Pug! I didn’t even think of trying to do that to see if it translates. I’m afraid mine won’t show up as nice as yours though. I tend to splash in the redneck a bit and when I say I’m fixin’ to do something… some peeps don’t understand it!

Your writing has always been very eloquent to me though and I’m sure you sound just as wonderful in french (probably even more so if someone french reads it out loud to ya!). =)

Quando a estrutura gramatical das frases é diferente cria-se confusão. As línguas de raiz gêrmanica não combinam muito bem com as românicas. Talvez seja essa a razão porque a tradução-retroversão em finlandês parece mais corecta ao espírito original do que em francês.

Muitas das tuas ideias seriam perdidas se não percebesse Inglês e tivesse de usar o tradutor para ler!

Now… try Portuguese and see if yu ca make sense of it, also do the test on your own text, I particulary like the very last sentence, reminds me of a movie I enjoyed!
