Tree of life recently discovered that Murlocs are real and they’re Australian
and I have found a Kookaburra in the mail box: Maybe he is not as fluffy – I would imagine flying back and forth from Dalaran would get tiring if thats how they are delivering mail.

We know that at least some Australians were working on WOW, and we do have some weird looking wildlife ( sorry platypus) – so maybe our wildlife have been used for inspiration.
Finally, I don’t know why there is a bird of any sort in the mail box really – even if I think it looks like a Kookaburra, I understand the portal business. Your mail get sent and received via portal. Where does this bird fit in? I went looking at some other mail boxes round the world, and none of them have portals. The Horde boxes have the same graphic, so the mail isn’t being sent via faction flying mounts.
It’s just odd, and yet so specific at the same time.
Sings to the Tune of Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree.
“Kookaburra sits on the electric wire.. tears in his eyes and his pants on fire.. laugh Kookaburra Laugh…..”
That’s is clearly a bird SOUL used to power the portal.
Definitely animal spirits at work.
I heard that song when I went to Australia 4 years ago ! Thanks for reminding it to me. I loved kookaburras.
“Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree,
Merry merry king of the bush is he,
Laugh, kookaburra laugh,
Kookaburra gay your life must be…”
we learn it in school, and I can’t think of any occasion since I have sung it in public
