You have not seen the NSFW**** Allods Elf Dance.  *****NSFW. Really.  Unless your Work is ok with you watching an avatar in thigh highs and Garters prace around on a rock.  If you take off their robes, and wizard hats that is what you get. Underwear in Wow might not be pretty,  but at least its practical, and not something I would really want to be wearing while questing. They even went to the effort of putting the net in the fishnets,  and pretty lace, and oh  little bows.

Interesting enough – compared to the sport like bra types of some of the females,  the detail that went into the Elf’s is odd.

Some developer had a lot of fun. Really.

I really only discovered this when I went looking for a Youtube Vid of the dance so I could link in my planned post, and found the vid,  and I was thinking where did they get that gear from – untill I saw someone running around in garters, and then I took my robe off, and went. Oh.

I don’t have a problem with it,  but it got an eyebrow raise, partly because it seemed unnecessary,  and completely out of place in comparison to the rest of the characters, but little bows!  The detail..

These guys are Gibblings,  and they creep me out.  They come as a trio,  and run around together, stuck at the hip.

BTW they wear no underwear  – with rather androgynous body types which makes them look even creepier.

My suspicion that my characters were speaking Russian were confirmed when I read the credits and saw some ingame signage.

I wish their kill shots speeches were Do svidanya  ( goodbye or apparently the literal translation is until we meet again)

It has a variety of classes to play,  you get stat increases as well as Talents available when you level.

I got a Good dude, ( League) and a ‘bad’ dude ( Empire) to level 5 – which gets you out of the starting areas and into  your first main questing hubs. Already at level 5 it’s feeling a little grindy,  much like Aion got around level 25ish.  But I should not expect to hit ‘level 85’ to borrow a wow reference in a day.

But there is quests to do,  scenery to explore , reputations to build.  Even randoms to talk to.

I haven’t found any LOLOL  IM A NOOB kind of people yet.  Sure some had silly names,  but everyone seemed rather well behaved, maybe I will see bad behavior if I level higher.

I can see that there seems to be enough to keep me occupied if I so wished, and for a free MMO,   It looks pretty good.

I think there is enough in there for me to have a decent shot at getting some levels up.  Help me pass the time while the Rift players sort out if it’s enough to stay.

I do like the detail in the gear,  doesn’t quite have an Epic feel to them,  but they look much finer detail then most of the Wow gear.  Haven’t seen too many of the weapons yet so Can’t comment on that.

I have to stop comparing it to Wow though,  and rather then having to actually look at things like keybinds and emotes,  I just use what I do in Wow, and get a little annoyed when its different.  Eg Auto Run  = R not numlock.  Of course I can remap it,  but I am supposed to be embracing the differences and enjoying it for what it is,  not what it’s not.
