QQ to Sookie La La

While in no way trying to copy Mend Pet’s word of the week – I came across a Word through travels that involved beer and a pub – and I declare it by no known authority to be the new QQ

Sookie La La Defined by the Urban Dictionary Here

1. Sooky La La
A sooky, sad little person who feels the need to whinge about a recent event.
2. sooky la la
one) people who have a whinge or a sook over small things.

So while you can QQ If you QQ you are a Sookie La La.

Season 4 Yeah!

It was a bit of a suprise to find out that Season 4 was being released so early –  I’m happy that means that I can get some new Pvp gear, and maybe the odd peice of season 4 gear that won’t require a spectacular arena rating…    when I accumluate enough points

I’m not an active arena  player But I will sub in for some games everyone now and then if someones teams is doing it for points,  I tried a good shot at a  5v5 but just got so frustrated with it,   If I was in Shadow they would target me first,  if I wasn’t they assumed I was the healer and targeted me first,   So the most effective thing I could do was do a sucide run into the middle of them and fear,  making them blow their trinkets early or make it easier to pick them off for the rest of my team.  I wouldn’t mind having a proper shot it just not with a shadow priest,

So Why has Blizzard released season 4 now..   We knew it was comming,  waiting , anticipating..   hoping maybe its because of the burn out,   its something to maintain peoples interest,  a reason to PVP more, a reason to start a new Arena Team,  maybe its what some people need to keep motivated to play.   Every second day we have a new AFK message on our guild forums,   peoples priorities are changing.

Even I have been considering cutting my raiding,  but I feel that after I wanted to do it so much, and then to be improving, do I really want to Leave?   Aiming for Tier 6 last night in Hyjal I still felt that little zing you get  when you know your on the ball..  Its more that I feel like i am missing out on something when I committ that amount of time, It means I’m rushing home from work to be there ontime,  Or I need to fit in buying that new pair of shoes in before my singing lesson as I won’t have time after ect ect.. and that the actual participation time required to raid  is nothing compared to the actual fighting times.

Boss fights go from 2-10 min depending on instance and Dps….  and not considering progression raiding where you expect to die, but hope you don’t,   I’m not sure where all the time goes..  it just goes…      I know some Guilds are strict when it comes to preperation and readiness, but would you boot your healer because he hadn’t installed the 100th Version of Omen to be released, and can a raid because you wouldn’t wait the 3 mins for him to install it..  now find 20 other reasons for waiting 3 mins and thats a Whole hour Gone…………

it just seems to be a common theme and qq about raid time wasting,   but can you really get 25 men and women to be ready and committed to not moving for anything longer then a nano second – We try – Everyone tries..    and we get there in the end.  Its just a pain to make that time committment and not have it utilised, and that makes me then question my priorities.   I can’t be as spontanous anymore with my time.

1120 Shadow Damage.

This Shadow Damge thing has become an Obession for me.

And Armory shows Im wearing my PVP Gear atm 😦  I had been saving my Badges for something big – we are on about 72% for server progression for the next Sunwell Phase,  I had looked at what was going to be on offer when it came , and checked what I wanted, and so had saved over 100 badges of Justice.  but then  I was thinking,   well,  the thing I really Really want is to replace my healing Trinket, Essence of the Martyr which had 28 +spell  which was my 2nd Best Trink Over the Icon of the Silver Cresent, and so I spent 75 badges on the Battlemasters Audacity +47 to damage – Hence the increase – My Shadow Word Death is starting to really worry me.

I just need to work harder to getting more Badges for the stuff I want next.  But for now Im set.

This weekend was good for Dailys.  I Grinded Sunwell dailys till I hit honoured, and finally got Void Shatter,  I’ve found that the loot off the mobs is slightly better of the randoms that wander Sunwell Isle.  Healing Pots drop ALOT more,  as does Cloth and Greens.

Guild had a quite raid weekend,   but some cleared ZA,  – I’ve been given ‘permission’ to Pug ZA because the Core raiders don’t want to do it as a normal run.   I’m going to ask permission for  Gruls/SSc and TK  If I don’t get in on the 25 man raids.  I don’t want to QQ because the GM will just say ” Why can’t you be patient.”   but the reality is they have too many people for one 25  – but not enough for 2 25’s – So moot point is I’ve benchwarmed for 2 weeks – they get a 3rd and If i’m not being used, then I will find entertainment elsewhere.    I don’t want to Gquit. , and I didnt join PV as a ‘raider’ it was by chance that the back up Shadow Priest Gquit quite suddenly..  funny that – and so I was used for raids.   But crap happens  people get busy/quit ect ect.. and now everyones suddenly not busy.  I’ve never heard any cries on our server that there are too many people Geared for 25’s  its quite the opposite – so maybe I keep looking.  But if I do that then I need to reevaluate what I want from the game.  I think I’m aiming at wanting to do the whole serious raider thing.  Ive seen  2 bosses in Tk twice, and 3 bosses in SSC,  Killed Grul and Highking  ect ect..   been to Mags ( but not sucessfully..  )  I want to do more. Experience End content.  I like the social aspect of a raid. The goal Setting ect ect – Loot is secondary ( unless its shadow damage 😛 )

Funny for the week:  Another Shadow Priest asked a healer for Heals in a normal muck around  Run, because ” It costs too much mana to come out of Shadow to heal” –  and the response was,  your Mana’s not much use to you when your dead…   So all you Shadow Priests – Heal thySelf!  ( I usually do – I always have pots /bandages ect ect..  but that goes against my new philisophy DPS DPS DPS!!!

AB /Fail

Me and two guildys wanted to do some PVP so we thought we would join as a group, so we joined AB,  It started off well – I spammed my macro  We got LM and GM someone remembered to Cap ST   BS was lost  but we were ahead  – I was babysitting a node with another guildy – when an Unamed Player says ” You guys suck I should have found a pug”   I’m like :   We are a pug –  ” Uh uh you Dath people all qued together  ( there were 5 Dath and 3 of us were from my Guild)

Now mind you we were ahead at this point.  We were doing ok – we just needed to hold it together.  And this qq’er decided to argue  we tried to assure him that it was only us three that qued together and he ranted and raved in Chat.   ” Your welcome to leave”   I finally say But no He wouldnt leave because he had qued with 2 others of his own  server ( he made the raid leader put them all in same group)  and its a bit hard to say Pot calling kettle black when  your trying to win a BG

So we encouraged him to stay Dead, and had the raid leader put him in his own group. Maybe not the best approach but the moment he qq’d the BG lost spirit – and its a bit hard to fix that when your the one being accused of causing the problem. – That a premade of 3  (lol) would effect the outcome of a BG so much – 2 of us were gaurding a node, and the other was the top healer the BG – we were doing the right thing.. and he stuffed it.

We didnt stay ahead for long  and we were a fail.

In another Fail In w WSG match we were 2 flags to their 1 and we had control of the Horde Flag, and they had ours, so what does our flag carrier do. ( after running back to our base)   Runs alllll the way back to the horde base with the flag on her back – and trys to assist in getting our flag back.  Now this went on for 5 mins, and I was a little confused. So I questioned.. “Um why is our flag Still in the horde base”

“Because your not getting the flag back.” – As you can imagine a Mage with  a flag on her back fighting where all the horde are respawning she drops it.

/sigh

Bgs are fun.  Really.

Bg’s and QQing

I like playing Bg’s – I like playing fair BGs where there is a decent battle between both sides  and the winner Doesnt take 3 min to 5 cap.  I like a challange.  I like Melting face.

Its attack attack – Die Rez and do it all over again.. ( with as least dying as possible ) Its fun!

However  I try and stay out of the QQing in  chat.  theres always one who starts saying ” GG”  ( good going )  when we lose a flag/base.   In a WSG match this weekend someone pipes up and says ” Why werent you all going for the flag”   I thought about it for a moment and said. ” The same reason you werent”  and he is like “?”

I  explained..  “Well you must have had a reason not to go for the flag,  and we did too. eg chasing  Horde up their tunnel trying to get our flag back.”

“Why you trying to start an argument man…  ” he says.” Im not, I reply in between dot – mindblast ” But please don’t assume we aren’t trying”

I personally think its hard to organise a tactically well done BG without Vent.  The class make up – the experience level in a Bg  its all random Communication gives you a big advantage..  and thats what most trade channel premades have ( they might lose more often but they still have abetter chance then a pug if they communicate).

Ive been in quite a few Bgs where there are no healers..   you can’t win all the time..  but what pees me off the most is the people who are always negative – and negativity is infectious – others start thinking..  oh we suck we are going to lose.. AGAIN…     I try not to bite..  Its like troll on a forum making inflamatory statements to get a reaction.

In another BG a while ago, the Nay sayer popped  up saying stuff like..  “We always lose..  Allies Suck…”, and I said ” there is one of you in every Bg  trying to put others down so you feel better..   ”  I didnt get a good response.

And I know there are some noobs – and that you need to be flexible when setting goals in a BG..   and it depends on where your attention is.    A healers attention is  – Person going down Heal..  it doesnt necessarily matter what that persons doing – unless they are dedicated flag carrier healer..   even I try and chuck sheilds up around people when they are being attacked  – Its easy for one person to sit back and  make judgements on peoples instant decisions –  tunnel vision means that if your being attacked or attacking someone..   if you break off your attack or defence because some other event happend you likely to die..  because hardly anyone comes to someone elses aid..

If I had time to argue with people to following comments I would say..

” Why arent you killing the flag carrier..”   ” If I had voice chat it would be …  “well  they took  cat druid form as and they speed past I dotted them and SWD them..  but because that put me in combat I couldnt mount up  to chase untill i got out of combat and by that time they had reached the tunnel.

“Why is there no defence”   Because we were following your lead and chased up to their flag point because there was no communication before the BG as to who would do what and the one person who stayed behind was a clothy and was snuck up  by a rogue and had no chance….

“Why arent I getting any heals” ( the flag carrier)   because  you took the speed buff as you were going down their tunnel and we cant run as fast as that Buff  so all we could do was chuck a sheild on you as you ran past the healers  and wish u luck.

“Why are you fighting in the middle”  Well as I was running past not only was I sheeped.. my team mates were getting hurt so I was trying to defend them, and not die myself…

I do like BGs…     I dont like some of the people in them.
