My Blog is my Spoon collection.

I don’t want to list the people already signing off from blogging. ( It may encourage more.) But I think you will start to notice that they are not there any more.

Some aren’t leaving Wow completely, but their creative contribution to WOW has just permanently evolved. ( GunlovingDwarfchick) will be remaining around, just focusing more on the Twisted Nether Blogcast. Others are leaving due to life commitments, that affect their blogging and their playing.

I had a revelation the other day, looking at my Nans spoon collection.
I got it when my Nan and Pa passed away, I asked for it because I remember it always being in my Nans kitchen, its not modern or stylish, and I haven’t put it up anywhere in my new apartment because I don’t want to put holes in my walls just yet, and I am not sure I really want to put up its little wooden display shelf where the spoons hang off at all.

My blog is my Wow Spoon collection.

For one sec forget my Nan and pa’s spoons are actually spoons they are actually a record of the things that my Nan and Pop did. A reminder of events and places, and people, threads to stories, and happy times. I regret not asking my Nan about each of those spoons, my Dad when he was alive was able to tell me some things. They got this one when they went here for this reason….

I blog because I love playing WOW, because I play enough to Wow to write about it, it extends my ‘gaming’ experience, and takes up alot more of my brain space then it probably should. My blog is also a record.
I still have my first diary. I cringe the rare occasions I flick through it, and would be horrified if it were ever published ( must burn before I die.) . I had an online journal I update once in a blue moon – I got over that too but these records are good for me to read every now and then, when looking for ideas, they are records of my past, they trigger additional memories and experiences and what I wrote then was important to me then.

I think its too late to every erase the pugnacious priest off the web. Between caches,  Readers, and Rss feed stealers – If someone goes looking for me they will find my Blog..  My spoon collection of my years playing Wow.   Not everyone will be interested in reading/want to see my spoon collection. I QQ I whine, I complain, I offer advise,  but more importantly I write my Wow history, write about something that has significant meaning to me. Now.  Today.

When I shared a flat my flat mate took one look at my Nans collection and went ” Your not putting that on our wall….” to him it was a bunch of ugly spoons,  to me it was my Grandparents history  and I think I have convinced myself that I won’t put up on my wall on display. They aren’t my stories – I don’t know them. ( There was even a Rolex spoon…. ) but when/If I start traveling I will be buying Spoons!

I hope that the people who do sign off from blogging about Wow – don’t delete their blogs/Keep them as much as possible because one day, you will want to go back and remind yourself, if not an audience of what you did when, and with who.

Memorys are fleeting, writing lasts longer, for good and for bad.
I REALLY do not want the list of guys I was in love with in year 7 ever published.. the writing is also raw – its not the polished holiday snaps where everyone is happy. Its the real experience.

I’ll only stop blogging about wow if I ever stop playing – or run out of things to say,and while I have breath in my lungs and blood in my veins, I’ll always have something to say..
