I’m back in office a couple of times a week now and what better way of keeping up with my companions adventures then with the mobile app.

I feel it’s almost an essential tool ( at least in the initial frenzy of an expansion) to milk the most out of your playing schedule and the irregular mission time lengths. When I logged out last night I had frustratingly short half an hour left on one mission and an hour and a half on a second that I wasn’t able to wait around in game for. Before sleep I was able to send my little minions off on another adventure and on my commute to work – send them off on another. Using skip to the end of course.

I have only ever watched one complete combat – skip to the end is the only option. Who wants to watch a bunch of face plate circles bouncing around a screen playing dodgem cars and for this reason I feel like this is a wasted animation. Keep the combat log, but I would prefer a more stylised over dramatic combat scene that changed with each mission to bouncing balls

As for the other features which include a Map showing the active worldquests is also a little frustrating feature because if I’m on my app it means I’m not on my computer and I’m not going to run home or stop what ever I am doing to make sure I get that world quest. ( though since getting my renown up the gear rewards have been a little useful filling in my neck and trinket gaps)

I didn’t use the app last expansion. I didn’t want to be so connected that I felt like I had to carry around the game. This xpac because of Covid I have been spending more time gaming and the desire to do all the things means I am feeling more pressure to maximise the experience.
